MyHeritage DNA Testing and Results

Saturday, August 3 – 10:30am-12:30pm

Sachem Public Library Community Room

150 Holbrook Road, Holbrook, NY

The DNA Genealogy Group of Long Island is pleased to present Daniel Horowitz,

the Genealogy Expert at MyHeritage.

Daniel will be discussing the wide array of tools available for DNA analysis found at MyHeritage including Smart Matches™ and the Theory of Family Relativity™. He will also be covering the use of autoclusters and chromosome browser in determining just how you are related to those cousin matches that pop up.

For those of you who already use MyHeritage, this will be an in-depth review on how to best use its DNA tools. For those of you who have tested elsewhere and have been considering uploading your results to MyHeritage, this will give you an idea of what they offer that may not be found with other platforms.

Daniel Horowitz of MyHeritage provides key contributions liaising with genealogy societies, bloggers and media, as well as lecturing, and attending conferences around the world. Dedicated to Genealogy since 1986, he was the teacher and the study guide editor of the family history project "Searching for My Roots" in Venezuela for 15 years. Daniel is involved in several crowdsource digitization and transcription projects and holds a board level position at the Israel Genealogy Research Association (IGRA).
